The Air One PAPR features a HEPA filter that is 99.97% efficient against > 0.3 micron particles, which protects against a wide range of harmful airborne particles.
This PAPR uses rechargeable Li+ batteries that each last an 8-hour shift cycle with additional reserve battery life remaining. Each battery can be recharged in < 2.5 hours.
The Air One PAPR set includes a reusable hood with a loose-fitting design that provides 150% more protection compared to an N95 mask, including eye protection and low breathing resistance. Loose-fitting PAPRs accommodate a range of head sizes and can be comfortably worn over eyewear and facial hair.
The hood is connected to the PAPR via a flexible air hose with simple connectors to quickly disconnect the hood and hose. An anti-kink design prevents the loss of airflow and the hose-to-hood connector allows free movement of the hood while ensuring seal.
The belt attaches to the back of the PAPR to allow the user to comfortably wear the device behind them and is easily detachable from the front so the user can quickly remove the device after use.
Air is forced through the HEPA filter using a PWM fan. Purified air is then delivered to the hood at a 4-6 CFM flow rate with positive pressure controlled by a custom PCB. UI will allow adjustment for use under different altitude conditions.
Each subassembly is easily detachable and cleanable and interchangeable as needed. The case is made of HDPE with a smooth finish to minimize surface porosity.
Fail safes include an alarm for low battery life. The user can still breathe through the filter if the fan shuts down. Filtered air is completely sealed off from ambient air.
